Data Deletion

You own your data. Two ways to delete everything we hold about you:

Option 1 — Self-service (recommended)

  1. Sign in at post-mate.com/app.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Scroll to Danger Zone → Delete Account.
  4. Confirm — your account is queued for hard deletion immediately.

Self-service deletion is instant and irreversible. All your connected social-account tokens are revoked, scheduled posts are cancelled, and media files are removed from storage.

Option 2 — Email request

If you can't access your account, email privacy@post-mate.com from the address you signed up with. Include:

  • Subject line: Data deletion request
  • Your account email
  • (Optional) the reason — helps us improve

We process every request within 7 business days and confirm by email when deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (email, name, password hash, preferences)
  • All connected social-network tokens (revoked on the platform too)
  • All drafts, scheduled posts, and publication history
  • All uploaded media (Cloudflare R2 storage)
  • Analytics rows associated with your posts
  • Sentry error entries linked to your user ID

Timelines

  • Live database: within 30 days (typically within minutes for self-service deletion).
  • Encrypted backups: roll off within 90 days.
  • Billing records: retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax law (we keep only the invoice number, amount, and date — no personal contact info).

Revoking social-network access without deleting your post mate account

If you only want to disconnect a specific platform, go to Connections and click Disconnect next to that account. The token is revoked immediately and removed from our database.
